Netherlands at the cliff

Last night matches of EURO 2012 saw Germany beat Netherlands 2-1 while Portugal grabbed a 3-2 win over Denmark.

Mario Gomez was shining last night with two goals to boost. After 38 minutes, he put Germany ahead with 2 goals gap. Netherlands was sensing their elimination is soon to come. All their efforts for the rest of the match was only Persie's goal. The star-cluttered team most probably will be out of EURO after group stage.

Portugal had a huge advantage by leading 2-0, and looked like they would have an easy win over Denmark. However, Bendtner's 2 goals at 51 and 80 minutes, for a moment, seemed to put Portugal fans in nightmare before Valera ended the scoreline 3-2.

With this result the situation at group B is more complicated as Germany almost register their name in quarter-final as a draw in the last match would be sufficient for them to go to quarter final, while Portugal and Denmark both have 3 points and competing for the second spot.

Tonight we will see the group C second round matches, Croatia vs Italy and Spain vs Ireland. The attention will be given to Croatia and Italy, as this could be the deciding match for a spot in quarter final. Check out the latest odds, betting tips at M88 Sportsbook
