Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Reviews

Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Review
With a power output of 408 hp, outstanding vehicle dynamics, and rear-wheel drive, the new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS ascends to the top of the base Carrera models, squeezing in between the 911 Carrera S and 911 Turbo. A sports exhaust system completes the performance tuning with two dual tailpipes. The Carrera GTS comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, and upon request, a seven-speed Porsche PDK transmission is available. What really sets the 911 Carrera GTS apart from the 911 Carrera S is its wide-body design. The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS back end is 1.7 inches wider than the base 911. For instance, the GTS runs on 19-inch center-mount RS Spyder wheels, painted in black, with high-gloss finish rim flanges, and 305/30ZR-19 tires on the rear axle. Other optical features include the SportDesign front apron with spoiler edge, painted in black, special sideskirts, also in black, and the Carrera GTS logotype on doors and rear lid, in black or silver depending on the body color. Black Alcantara dominates the interior

This time, the 385-horsepower 911 Carrera S has evolved into the 403-horsepower 911 Carrera GTS. Perfectly suited to slot into the gap between the 385-horsepower Carrera S and the 435-horsepower GT3, the GTS combines the 44-millimeter wider Carrera 4 body, wider rear track and wheels with rear-wheel drive. A new resonance intake manifold uses six vacuum-controlled tuning flaps to switch between power and torque-optimized geometry. This change increases torque in the mid-rev range. The sport exhaust system we've loved the sound of as an option on the Carrera S, comes standard on the GTS. Top track speed is 190 mph, yet the new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS will offer fuel economy of up to 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.

With an output of 408 hp, the vehicle dynamics and an excellent specification that highlights the character's iconic sports coupe, climb the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS on top of the Carrera model series.

By default, the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS a six-speed manual and seven-speed dual clutch Porsche (PDK) is available. True to Porsche Intelligent Performance philosophy, this adds sporty appeal goes hand in hand with rational: the new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS consumes more fuel than a Carrera S in the new European driving cycle (NEDC). A single family Porsche 911 Carrera GTS joins the body 44 millimeters wider wheel drive Carrera 4 models - also expanded its rear track - a classic rear-wheel drive configuration.

There are many details that emphasizes design and technology of the 911 Carrera GTS Carrera model from another. For example, the headquarters of Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, the 19-inch center-lock wheel RS Spyder, rims painted black with a high-gloss finish with tires 235/35 ZR 19 front axle and 305/30 ZR 19 tires at the rear.
