Bahrain's win 10-0 over Indonesia is investigated by Fifa

"Routine" investigation over the 10-0 win of Bahrain against Indonesia has been confirmed by FiFa. Bahrain's win over a weakened Indonesia this weekend has raised suspicion, as the Middle East Team needed to make up 9 goals deficit to stand a chance to advance to the next stage of World Cup Qualifying.

A FiFa statement said: "Fifa security will conduct a routine examination of this game and its result, given the unusual outcome against result expectation and head-to-head history, and in the interest of maintaining unequivocal confidence in our game."

Indonesian keeper was sent off after 2 minutes of the game, resulting in a successful penalty afterwards. The host scored another penalty in the first half as they took 4-0 lead by half-time, and continued to score after the break.

Fifa disapproves of dishonest game?
