Manchester United Pounce on City Slip-up

Man City was defeated by Swansea at Away match. Though Joe Hart saved a penalty kick by Sinclair, he cannot save the team from being lost.

In contrast, Rooney brace sends Man United on top. Wayne Rooney's double swept Manchester United to the top of the Premier League for the first time this year as West Brom were brushed aside 2-0 at Old Trafford.

Rooney took his seasonal tally in the league to 26 with a goal either side of the interval as United took advantage of Manchester City's shock defeat at Swansea to assume that familiar position at the head of affairs on the title run-in.

With these winning goal, Sir Alex Ferguson has set Wayne Rooney a 40-goal target to fire Manchester United to Premier League glory.With Manchester City losing at Swansea, United hit top spot for the first time since the middle of October thanks to Rooney's second brace in as many games.
