Lexus GX 460 is considered unsafe
Just several months ago, Toyota Motors Corp. had a recall of millions of their SUVs of various models due to a sticking gas pedal problem. This was followed by the incident of a runaway Toyota Prius who sped out of control because of the same gas pedal problem
what your responses about the Lexus GX 460?
Toyota has not gained back its reputation after these incidents when its new Lexus GX 460 got another negative feedback this time from Consumer Reports. Accordingly, the magazine rated the new 2010 Lexus GX 460 “Don’t Buy, Safety Risk” referring to the possibility of rollover accidents during sharp turns.
Toyota immediately ordered a temporary ’stop sale’ of these Lexus GX 460 2010 cars to conduct further investigations regarding this problem. According to the sales statistics, Toyota had about 6,000 Lexus GX 460’s that was sold since the car went on sale December of last year.
“We are taking the situation with the GX 460 very seriously and are determined to identify and correct the issue Consumer Reports identified,” Mark Templin, Lexus vice president and general manager, said in a statement.
I think Toyota need to make extra efforts to test their vehicles before selling it to public. They cannot afford another problem that would contribute to their current bad reputation.
